Why kiss it upside down?

Not using a torque wrench to properly re-tighten those bolts is a good way to get vibrations too. And there's an error in the manual, the bolts should be 16.5 ft/lbs not 25 or whatever nonsense it says.

This cheered my Irish/American heart. My mother and aunt visited relatives in Ireland in 1971 and they both got to kiss the stone. And let me tell you...they both had the gift of gab in spades! And, not sure...but I think I got a touch of it myself just by being around them:-) It's contagious!

That was a wonderful thing, since I don't know if I'll ever get there.

I know this is an old video but here we all are. Here are a few tips for this install.. Use some sort of penetrating oil (PB Blaster, WD 40, etc) on the bolts a few hours (or more) before attempting to losen them. When installing the new bolts, use Blue Loctite on all threads. These bikes vibrate enough to cause the bolts to back out. Use Blue (not red) loctite. leave all bolts a bit loose until all the bolts are in place. Years of assembling ikea furniture has scared me for life. Torque all fasteners (with blue loctite!) to the correct specifications. The 8mm bolts only need to be tightened down to 16.5lb-ft (22Nm) Good luck! Edit: forgot to mention.. If you have a buzzing or vibrating sound coming from the front, it's the spacer in the center connecting the bars together. If you have a grinder, you might need to shorten the spacer up a bit. Also, I'd apply some RTV (gasket sealant) to the spacer to reduce the noise. Let the RTV harden up a bit before reinstalling. The spacer will start to vibrate and rattle around in the tube annoying the heck outta you later on.

I also have the same bike and your comment on the mirrors is spot on. Why anyone wants tiny streamlined ones is beyond me. Safety first fashion second.

The main threat to a biker is people pulling out in front of them. With this mount you don't get a very good view of the near side which is where one of the main dangers are. Good quality picture though.
